DermAware: Beyond the Skin – Novartis Chile

 On Wednesday, May 15th, together with our Executive Director Ruben Rojas, we participated in the DermAware event organized by Novartis Chile. It was a space where we not only shared knowledge and experiences about psoriasis and hidradenitis suppurativa, but also reflected on their impact on the healthcare system and the quality of life of individuals.

Our Executive Director highlighted the burden that these diseases represent and the associated costs for the healthcare system, presenting local evidence on what both diseases mean for patients and the healthcare system.

It was a pleasure to be part of this event and to contribute to the discussion on such a relevant topic for public health. Psoriasis and hidradenitis suppurativa are conditions that affect millions of people worldwide, and it is essential to raise awareness about their impact on the quality of life of those who suffer from them, as well as on healthcare resources.
